Paul Scott
BA(Hons) Dip Arch(Hons) RIBAPaul has been a director at tp bennett since 2000, working on a variety of projects from social infrastructure through to residential and commercial developments. Schemes are often large, complex, mixed use developments on challenging sites, that benefit from his broad cross-sector experience and expertise. These include new offices in Soho’s Golden Square, the redevelopment of London Bridge Station, and the award-winning Heartlands High School in Haringey.
With a leading role in the practice’s health and education team, he uses his commercial experience to create high quality yet cost-effective and sustainable designs in the UK and internationally.
Paul’s has a passion is for social infrastructure projects that support communities on a macro and micro scale. He has led the design of a range of healthcare facilities across Africa, including a series of hospitals in Ghana, Zambia, Cote d’Ivoire and The Gambia. His education experience includes public and private schools in the UK, and large student residential schemes including a 2100 bed neighbourhood at the University of Sussex. He has recently developed proposals for an agritech research and development centre in UAE which will focus on sustainable food security in desert environments.
Paul is personally committed to inclusive, community-friendly architecture, focused on tackling social issues such as the housing crisis. He was an elected Councillor for 20 years, taking leading roles on planning, regeneration and sustainability in South London.
