David Blair

Dip Arch MArch RIBA

After completing his M.Arch, David gained a British Council scholarship to survey and document Medieval and Ottoman architecture in the Middle East. He returned to join tp bennett as an architectural assistant in 1997, and became a principal director in 2018. During his time at the practice, David has been responsible for a diverse range of new-build and refurbishment projects in a variety of sectors including commercial offices, business parks, residential and student residential, hostels and mixed-use schemes.

Recent projects include the design and delivery of Aurum, Lombard Street; a new office building in  the City of London, the BCO Innovation Award winning  Porter Building in Slough – the first new build office development in the UK to achieve the WELL Building Standard.  David was also responsible for the final Phase III of Bourne Business Park in Weybridge, which won the BCO Commercial Workplace Award in 2018 and Belmont House, a comprehensive office refurbishment and extension in Uxbridge.

One of David’s skills is designing schemes in sensitive urban locations that require complex solutions, often combining new-build, refurbishment and extension works. David provides a full range of design-led services including feasibility appraisals, planning negotiations through to contract delivery on site.  He believes that working collaboratively with an open-mind is central to ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and on budget.
