Alastair Paterson

BA(Hons) DipArch RIBA

Alastair graduated in Architecture from the University of Sheffield in 1984.

Initially he worked on projects in the financial sector for Barclays before joining a practice in Bermuda where he gained experience delivering a significant new office building in Hamilton.

Returning to London, Alastair went on to deliver projects in the health and public service sectors before joining DLG Architects to deliver a 400,000 sq ft retail-led mixed use scheme, Broadway Plaza, in Birmingham, incorporating two levels of underground parking, a 12 screen cinema, casino, healthclub, retail, 50 apartments and restaurants.

In 2002 Alastair joined tp benentt (formerly Engle) as a Senior Associate working on town centre retail and regeneration projects from planning to completion. These include Riverside, Hemel Hempstead, Eagles Meadow in Wrexham, a mexed-use scheme and cinema in Hinckley and The Beacon Shopping Centre in Eastbourne.

His experience and understanding of complex structures saw him promoted in 2005 to Director responsible for the delivery of major projects. Alastair also organises project teams and monitors the quality of output and efficiency, encouraging at all times the use of sustainable methods and local resources.
