The new workspace for a tier-one private investment firm, provides a contemporary and fresh epicentre for its London base. Located at the iconic Devonshire House on Mayfair Place, the new office space signifies the firm’s deep commitment to creating lasting impact, with tp bennett ensuring that the workplace has been designed to be modern yet classic to suit the Grade II listed building it sits within.

The design concept was driven by the principles of warmth and timelessness, drawing inspiration from hospitality and residential interiors. The selection of substantial yet simple forms of joinery and furniture pieces ensures both longevity and a sense of comfort. The spatial layout is configured to drive connections between employees and enable collaboration across the office community. A new link bridge connecting the east and west floor plates encourages cross pollination of use, and a new feature staircase connects all 3 levels to encourage vertical movement within the building. Spaces for spontaneous encounters are threaded throughout, whilst kitchens and dining areas are designed as organic social hubs.

tp bennett’s design creates choice and diversity in ways of working through comfortable and inspiring environments. The design prioritises quality of light across the workspace, whilst access to terraces and views enhance the health and wellbeing of the occupants. Dedicated zones of the building also provide high quality amenities including fitness and wellness studios and shower facilities.

The main staff hub on level 7 has also been afforded the best views out of the building to enable a shared experience. A bespoke coffered ceiling, characteristic of a member’s club, creates warmth and a sense of belonging. A curated approach to artwork has been accommodated within the design, with a series of bespoke art pieces that are mounted on a rotating basis to keep the spaces fresh and current.

Working closely with the client and a meticulous attention to detail has resulted in a project that emanates a timeless presence that is aligned to the firm’s core values.
