King & Spalding’s new London workplace at 8 Bishopsgate makes a bold statement about the firm’s future. Designed across five floors, their London hub is about creating a dynamic environment that evolves with the firm’s ambitious growth strategy, while remaining grounded in the values that define its culture.
Anchoring the space is a beautiful and timeless staircase, encouraging movement and intuitively connecting people and spaces. Surrounding this central hub are strategically positioned social spaces that support an environment where collaboration and innovation thrive.
Marking a progressive shift for law firms, the workplace introduces standardised two-person offices while embracing open-plan zones. These spaces effortlessly blend private and collaborative areas, designed with the understanding that flexibility and choice are key to employee comfort and productivity.
Every detail reflects a culture that values quality, responsibility, and sustainability. By incorporating elements of the industrial base building and a warm, tactile material palette, the design feels both sophisticated and grounded and, most importantly, comfortable for everyone. A strong commitment to sustainability runs through the project. tp bennett’s bespoke in-house responsible sourcing platform, Ad-Lib, ensured that all materials were carefully assessed for their environmental impact on the planet, resources, people, and society.
