Solution
The Beacon is a new extension to the Arndale Centre, the main shopping destination in Eastbourne since the 80s. The scheme provides twenty-two new shops, seven new restaurants and an eight-screen cinema.
The Beacon has become a new, inviting gateway to the town centre, improving the linkage between its retail core and the train station. In parallel with the works to the extension, the existing centre includes new entrances, new façade to Terminus Road, extended car park and refreshed interiors.
“The nautical design theme of the Beacon reflects Eastbourne’s distinctive coastal town character” says Chris Wieszczycki, the Principal Director in charge of the project.
