Citi Tower, originally designed by César Pelli & Associates in the 1990s, is undergoing a transformative redevelopment. Located at 25 Canada Square, the project will deliver a workplace that reflects Citi’s global brand and supports its London workforce.

tp bennett is leading the design of all work and trading floors throughout the tower. Working in close collaboration with Wilkinson Eyre, who are responsible for the external, client and common areas design, the project responds to a brief to create a world-class, integrated headquarters that fosters community, wellbeing and innovation.

The design introduces Citi Villages: three-storey clusters of interconnected workspaces that promote movement, collaboration, and shared ownership. These are anchored by Village Centres, offering wellness zones, work cafés, and enhanced meeting spaces. Destination amenities are distributed throughout the tower, including the High Street (a three-level hub focused on health, wellbeing and food) and the Citi Beacon, a dedicated two-floor client suite with panoramic views.

The workplace strategy, developed in close collaboration with the Citi RES team, supports agile and flexible working across business units. tp bennett’s design integrates biophilic principles, intuitive circulation, and a robust kit of parts to ensure adaptability, acoustic quality, and access to natural light.

Currently under construction and delivered by tp bennett, Citi Tower is a landmark exemplar for the restructuring and reuse of high-rise city structures.
