‘Old Wynd’ submitted for planning

‘Old Wynd’ is a proposal for a new 13-storey student accommodation development for Dominus Real Estate in Glasgow’s Central Conservation Area.

Recently submitted for planning approval, the scheme is located in the Merchant City district, comprising 210 bedrooms in a mix of studios, clusters and wheelchair accessible rooms. The accommodation is supported by a programme of amenity spaces across the ground, first and top floors, including a roof-top pavilion and terrace, providing a range of social, study and relaxation spaces.

Complementing what will become a vibrant new blended living quarter for the city, the design approach has been influenced by the character of the area, creating a building that will deliver on Glasgow’s vision for  exemplary design and building better.
