Richard has spent 33 years of his professional career as an architect involved in all aspects of the design and fit-out of office and headquarters buildings. He is a Principal at architectural practice tp bennett and set up their specialist interiors workplace division in 1997. Over the years Richard has advised a variety of financial organisations, insurance companies, lawyers, technology firms, public bodies and charities on their workplace requirements, usually reporting at Board level. He also works with developers on a number of office buildings, both new build and refurbishments.
Significant headquarters projects over the years include new offices for Goldman Sachs, Hogan Lovells, Microsoft, SwissRe, The Guardian, PwC, UBS, Schroders, DLA Piper, Spotify, Oxfam, the FSA, Transport for London and the City of London.
Richard regularly speaks at conferences on the future of workplace, is a member of Corenet, The City Property Association, City Architecture Forum, Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects Livery Company and has served on the British Council for Offices Management Board from 2005-2019.
