BA(Hons) Dip Arch(Hons) RIBA
A family background in architecture and engineering has given Jonathan a lifelong interest in building design. Previously a managing partner of SEF Architects, he joined tp bennett when the companies’ merged, and Jonathan is now principal director in charge of the health and education team, as well as contributing to other sectors including student residential. He has won several awards, including for the Fortius Clinic, Trinity Hospice and six hospitals in Ghana.
An advocate of architecture as a collective endeavour, Jonathan believes that the best projects arise from a coordinated approach, creating buildings that are sustainable and sensitive to users’ needs. He works effectively with both public and private sectors, ensuring a seamless experience from engagement through to end-user. Recently Jonathan returned to Brighton, where he studied architecture, to design accommodation and a new Students’ Union at Sussex University.
Jonathan is a member of the RIBA advisory groups Architects for Health and Products in Architecture, and recently became a member of the Design Council’s Expert Reference Group.
