Doug was managing partner between 1999 and 2009 during which time he pioneered international projects from Portugal to South East Asia, Russia and the UAE, and led the company’s conversion to a Limited Liability Partnership in 2005. With Richard Beastall, Doug co-founded the interiors division, heading up a team of designers committed to high-quality contemporary design.
Doug set up the practice’s sustainability group and remains committed to practical sustainable design principles in all aspects of our business. Among Doug’s recent prominent projects are the redevelopment of Sea Containers House on London’s South Bank, the 26-storey Limeharbour residential tower in London’s Docklands, the residential-led mixed–use masterplan at Campbell Park, Milton Keynes and the Crimscott Street mixed-use development in Bermondsey, London. He is committed to maintaining the company’s activity in the commercial, residential and hospitality sectors, and to progressing its projects in masterplanning and urban regeneration, as well as identifying international opportunities via the long established international design alliance network.
