Neege Allen-Navarria

BA (Hons) BArch MA RIBA Ordine Architetti Catania Director

Since his return to the UK in 2007, Neege has continued to divide his time between Europe and the UK, typically leading super-prime residential projects and interior fit-out projects for global corporate clients in London, Cyprus, Paris, Monaco and Switzerland.

Neege is experienced in urban design, architecture, interior design and branding, which enables him to a have a view on all aspects of a project.  His approach is one of understanding best practice across sectors to achieve an efficient and inspiring design, even with a limited budget. His focus is always on creating an open-minded, collaborative team spirit and on safeguarding key design ideas throughout the production, costing and construction phases to ensure original concepts are not lost.

Prior to 2007, Neege spent fifteen years in Italy during which time he was recognised as a key figure in the nascent contemporary architecture scene in Sicily. From 1992-2000 he was Design Director of a multi-disciplinary engineering practice S.I.R., responsible for transforming hospital design on a regional level.  After completing the widely published 'Zo Centro Culture Contemporanee' project as a sole practitioner, he founded mono architetti in 2002 which specialises in arts, culture, hospitality and residential projects.  The award-winning Japanese restaurant 'EN' in Catania was designed collaboratively between mono architetti and tp bennett.

Neege has been a Thesis tutor for l’Universita Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria and recently tutored at the International Design Workshop ‘Simeto Landscape’ organised by la Fondazione dell’Ordine degli Architetti di Catania. Locally, he is a community representative on the Planning Delivery Committee for Gravesham Borough Council and is actively involved in shaping a better Gravesend.
