Robert Gurney

Robert joined tp bennett in 1975 and carried out his academic training during his employment with them, qualifying as an architectural technologist in1981 and becoming a senior technician in 1982. During his training he gained valuable technical and practical experience by working on a variety of projects. Having then taken up the role as project leader, running fast track new build and refurbishment/fitting out projects, he was promoted to Associate in 1989 and Project Director in 2005.

He has gained considerable experience in new build and refurbishment/fitting out projects for various government departments, delivering projects for ACAS and the Prison Service, headquarters for the Insolvency Service, the Overseas Development Administration and the Department of Transport in London. The Insovency Service headquarters was of particular interest as it involved demolition and new build behind two street facades originally built circa 1893.

Rob has been involved in the refurbishment and building re-clad of a 50,000 sq ft office building in Staines and hostel accommodation in central London providing 300 beds for Youth Hostel Accommodation (YHA).

More recently Rob has been involved in the refurbishment of an existing high-end gym in the City of London for a leading global investment banking group, the refurbishment of a 64,000 sq ft office building with two-storey glass entrance extension in Wimbledon and the fit-out of a 3,700s q ft high-end, 82 cover restaurant located in a prestigious London Mayfair address.
