Brian Phillips

DipArch(Hons) RIBA

Brian graduated as an architect from Northern Polytechnic in 1970.

He joined CA Cornish Architects shortly afterwards and gained extensive experience in the commercial, industrial and related education sectors.  Involvement in all aspects of the projects, from briefing, planning and design through to site completion, brought full appreciation of project aims and client requirements combined with sound technical understanding and job management.

In 1987 Brian joined tp bennett as an Associate and was involved with several major schemes, including Bankside (now the FT headquarters in SE1), Great Westminster House in Victoria and Britannic Assurance headquarters in Birmingham.

When the interiors division of tp bennett was formed in 1998, Brian joined the increasing team of specialist interior designers, providing invaluable technical, administrative and contractual knowledge, which ensured from the outset that the division provided a comprehensive design and project delivery service.

Since then Brian has played a major role in the delivery of over a million sq ft of office space.  Projects have included major fit-outs for FSA, Morgan Stanley and Northern Trust at Canary Wharf, extensive refurbishment of the Guildhall Campus for the City of London, the fit-out of 240,000 sq ft for Lovells legal firm and refurbishments for Johnson & Johnson in High Wycombe and lawyers Macfarlanes in London.

In addition to project-specific management and administration, Brian is also responsible for resource and fee planning for the interiors division and plays a main role in preparing fee proposals.
