Polly Barker

BA (Hons) DipArch MaPS RIBA Director

Polly studied at the Cambridge University School of Architecture.  She has worked on a wide range of commercial, retail, education, health and residential projects, carrying out both refurbishment and new build designs.  Polly has trained and practiced in both Project Management and Construction Design Management alongside and independently from her architectural role.

Prior to joining tp bennett, Polly worked extensively in the commercial and retail sector, providing a construction management role alongside her architectural work in a range of fast-track projects. She has successfully delivered projects in a range of demanding environments including live airports, hospitals and railway stations.

Since joining tp bennett in 2002 Polly has concentrated on projects in the health and education sectors.  Recent projects include the award winning Trinity Hospice and Ghana District Hospitals, the new Acute Care and Diagnostics building for the Whittington Hospital NHS Trust, and three Building Schools for the Future  secondary school projects in Haringey.  Polly is passionate about how good design in the health sector can improve the patient experience and reduce recovery times and within education can create a nurturing and stimulating environment that improves educational outcomes.
