Michelle Wilkie

BA(Hons) Interior Design Director

Michelle relocated to London from Australia in 2012 and joined the interiors division of tp bennett. With ten years' industry experience and an Interior Design degree from Swinburne University, her portfolio is varied across the technology, media and communications, hospitality, financial, investment, corporate, entertainment and public sectors.

In Australia Michelle worked for PTID Environments (Peddle Thorp Interior Design) where she was involved with several notable projects, including the delivery of over 450,000 sq ft for National Australia Bank, introducing a vertical community & team neighbourhoods, a consolidation project for the Australian Tax Office, merging five offices into a central 376,000 sq ft headquarters and the high level base build and fit-out of Marsh & McLennan's headquarters including state-of-the-art client dining and entertainment spaces, training rooms, meeting suites and staff restaurant.  She also has a wealth of experience in the retail, leisure and residential sectors, having worked with clients such as Tiffany & Co., Mulberry, Crown Casino, Kraft Foods and Cadbury.

Since joining tp bennett, Michelle has continued to broaden her experience not only as a creative designer, but also with a passion for Workplace Wellbeing, understanding the importance for creating spaces that encourage happiness, health and productivity. Michelle is a certified Wellbeing Coach, and has a real passion for integrating holistic design principals such as those outlined in The WELL Building Standard™.

Promoted to Project Director in 2016 and Director in 2017, Michelle has extensive knowledge and experience in procuring and developing projects through all phases of the design process; from client briefing, due diligence, building appraisals, space planning, concept design & furniture selection for projects in the UK and Internationally. She has delivered schemes for leading high quality fit-outs of varying scales, working with clients such as Investec, DLA Piper, Freshfields, Bakkavor, Facebook and Sony Mobile.
